Hit or miss?

November 2, 2009 by Dave Hamilton

The BananaBunker

I’m not a designer. But I am a consumer, so I’m going dive in and offer a critique on this particular piece of design.

Cultured Containers has developed the BananaBunker® to protect everyone’s favourite hit of potassium from bruising during transport.

In their own words:

“Whether you are on a hiking trip, day trip, athletic event, between classes, or at a board meeting, the BananaBunker® will keep your fruit safe until you are ready to snack. Go ahead, eat healthy!”

Really, the boardroom? More like the boudoir if you ask me.

I know, you’re thinking I stayed up too late one night and discovered this via infomercial. Nope, the MoMA Store!

I’m not generally prudish, but can you imagine sending little Bobby off to school with this little bad boy tucked in his lunch box?

You’ll likely both be called to the principal’s office.

Every time I’ve gone to the MoMA store I see something equally as ridiculous.
