It frightens me that such bills could have been drafted, let alone be so close to being passed. It’s hard to imagine that the people drafting these bill could have done so without laughing maniacally the whole time.
It also angers me that none of the major media outlets in the US have given this important, contentious issue the least bit of coverage – come to think of it, I’ve not seen any mention of it in the news here in Canada either.
I’ll not deny that copyright protection is important, but these bills will not only fail miserably at protecting copyright, they really seem to me to have little to do with copyright protection in the first place. The only cause these bills will support is corporate protectionism, which, as usual, means the little people will get trampled.

I would prefer to have a Blackberry for a variety of reasons (business applications, security, BBM) but none of their phones have a big enough keyboard for my liking. They come out with a phone with a large side-slide out keyboard, I am there.
